YONAKA “Waves”

With pride, stomp and vocal attitude, guitar spat riffs and punch-punk drums, UK based YONAKA let slip new slice of glorious noise,“Waves”.

The second release taken from their upcoming EP,Teach Me to Fight, (having already released, opening track, pop rock punk epic“Fired Up”), an atomic strut and Jagger-swaggered, percussive assault rifle of short, contained awesome noise bursts; guitarist George Edwards stabs, slings and syncopates, an aural array of six string sonics, smartly FX-ed to echo electro; the machined tight precision of drummer Robert Mason and bassist Alex Crosby, setting the band contemporary, and very much belonging to their moment.

Lead singer Theresa Jarvis mixing footed intentionally heavily rhythmic verse with roaring melodic chorus.“Waves”is a snarling, battled hardened, dog of war, built for the mosh pit and listening loud.
